I disagree with the negative Pedro vs positive Pats comparison. There have been many negative comments by Mannix and Borges on the Pats decisions.

Talk about apples and oranges! Martinez and Belichick? How could you possibly compare the reactions to their respective moves. I really have no complaint with Pedro taking the money and running. But the fact is he did cultivate a diva reputation while he was with the Sox and when he left it was clearly to line his own pockets. So the potshots were inevitable. Belichick, who’s practically obsessive with staying under the radar, makes financial decisions for a team…and a very successful one at that. But if you really think the Boston media is giving BB a free pass on the hard-hearted issue, then you missed Cafardo’s weeper in Sunday’s Globe.

With all due respect John, outside of Jags and Rusillo, WWZN is an unrivaled trainwreck. Does Winn claim that this station is making money? Can’t be.

Says Winn,

“Pedro Martinez made financial decisions designed to improve his position. This past week, Bill Belichick made financial decisions designed to improve his position.” “His” position??? Come on, you have got to be kidding me. It is not like the money that Bill did not pay to Troy, Andruzzi, etc. went into Bill’s pockets. It is called a salary cap-you have to make choices. Troy and Andruzzi had every right to make their choices; however, Bill is doing what he feels in the best interest of the team. Shame on you for the Borges-esque cheap shot.

I think there are good shows on 1510. Some of the shows on the weekend like Sports Court and The Sports Locker are really good.

As much as the amount of ads on WEEI vexes me, The signal on 1510 might be the worst on the dial. Why continue fooling around with programmingand talent if people can’t hear it?

The Guys from Celtic Pride and Courtside are the best on the Zone…..spread the work hoops fans!

Hey, folks! Did you know that 1510 The Zone runs “The Overcomer Ministry” overnights, replacing the Sporting News Radio show? I think that should be 1510’s next format-religion!

I’m surprised there isn’t more talk about Eddie Andelman. I grew up listening to Eddie 30 years ago. He was the innovator and originator. To this day Sports Huddle is still the greatest sports talk show of all times. Unfortunately Eddie relies only on his past. He seems completely disinterested and completely uninformed. The final straw came for me the day after the Redsox won the World Series I wet to his show to get his reaction and instead it was Eddie in Aruba with Jags hosting “Red Auerbach day at the Kowloon” I couldnt believe it.
Eddie if you no longer like what you do get out, instead of being so bitter and burning all the bridges.
What ever happened to Mark Witkin and Jim McCarthy?
