I disagree with John Molori’s criticism of Michael Holley. That caller was weird and I was uncomfortable listening to him. I kept expecting it to turn into an obscene phone call. I was glad Holley mentioned it.
Thanks for giving us Wendi Nix’s immature reaction to the inherent conflict that exists if her clueless employer lets her cover the Red Sox in any shape or form (did she actually go to j-school?).
The real problem (which you did not identify) is not whether or not hubby gives her scoops, but whether or not any reporting can be trusted. How can her viewership possibly believe anything she says, because she is, by virtue of being married to management, TOTALLY UNABLE to criticize the team. If she can’t critizize the team (because the team IS her husband), she has no credibility whatsoever. For example, with the shape the front office is in currently, who could possibly trust what she says if she appeared on a TV or radio roundtable discussion?
Sorry Wendi, in this case, no pitch need be thrown. You’re OUT.
