So, only Superbowl winners can be commentators? Perhaps Marino should quit.

Oh, by the way, Boomer has a better postseason record than Marino.

Speaking of no class, nice cheap shot on Chmura. The guy is not a paragon of virtue for what happened, but the “kids day” comment goes for a cheap joke. It implicitly equates what he did with raping a 12 year old… she was young but not a child. 17 is above the age of consent in many states including NH and (in many circumstances) MA.

The notion that one can not comment on something they have not accomplished basically disqualifies Molori from doing his job doesn’t it? Has he played football, announced a game etc? There is no wonder that this guy works in TripleA.

You’re dead right about Esiason’s classless statement about Marino. There’s no question he’s right, but he’s not the guy, and that’s not the time nor place to make that statement. I couldn’t care less what Boomer’s playoff record is. Winning Lombardi trophies is all that matters. And, at least Marino has an immortal career and pending Hall of Fame bust to hang his helmet on.
Get a clue guys.

I find it odd that people are villifying Joe Buck for his spontaneous reaction to Randy Moss’ touchdown celebration. Was his reaction a little over the top? Perhaps, but it wasn’t inaccurate. Should he have ignored Moss’ actions? I don’t think so. Moss is a controversial figure who has left himself open for scrutiny, and for Joe Buck to pass judgement on what he did was well within his duties as a play-by-play announcer.

Also, is it a joke when Sean McDonough appears on the Sports Reporters? Ah, I didn’t think so.

I agree with your view on the hypocricy of Joe Buck’s comments regarding Randy Moss’s faux moon celebration. I don’t particularly like the recurring antics of self-promoters like Terrell Owens and Randy Moss, but I feel that the backstory of the mooning is vital for any fan to come to an informed opinion as to whether what Randy Moss did was disgusting. At the end of every home game, the Green Bay ‘fans’ actually moon (not pretend like Moss) the visiting team as they return to their buses. This is degrading and illegal, yet Green Bay gets a pass from the law as well as from public opinion.
This should have been the story as much as what Randy Moss did. Knowing this, I look at what Moss did and say, it was a courageous thing to do for his team.

Where’s the condemnation of the past week’s orgy of Manning rumpswabbery? The kids day remark was too much, but insulting Molori is odious. Randy Johnson is a turd. Boomer’s remark was the most awkward since Sean Salisbury emphasized a disagreement with Michael Irvin during last year’s post-SB analysis by saying, “You need to go take a drug test” (ESPN edited that out of the replays–I know because I stayed up half the night watching over and over and over…). That said, it was in no way hypocritical, and his comparison of Marino and Manning implied that both were better than he was.

Joe Buck might have been off a bit on the mooning over Green Bay, but what is not mentioned is the “F-Bombs” Moss was dropping at Packer fans, while pointing at the scoreboard. I don’t claim to be the best lip reader, but but this was easy. Fox should have cut away from his ranting immediately. That scene was worse than the Mooning, but even a classless idiot draws attention, which apparently Fox producers are looking for.
