last week he lambasts weei as homophobic and this week he is lecturing them on racism. but scrolling down a bit, he refers to the “mostly mythical view of Boston as a racist city.” what consistency from this would-be moralizer.
i can’t even address this dolt’s celtics ignorance. so rick pitino is the biggest sports failure in the history of boston? what was ml carr? didn’t he have the mighty david wesley?
nicky, he answered that “just another example of how the local media pick and choose their villains…” in his column. although i am not suggesting that this idiot is a member of the media. why does bruce link to him?
Correction: It’s not the engaging Trey Wingo; it’s the engaging Trey “Fair Enough” Wingo. If you don’t watch him enough, you may not realize that he segues from every segment by saying “fair enough.” Sounds innocuous enough until you hear him say it for the 3000th time, and then he becomes the enraging Trey Enough Already Wingo!
Barry Bonds used his son as a prop for his woe-is-me agenda-driven interview, and there’s a big difference between that and referencing your family during a talk radio show.
If you are going to cite Pitino’s failure as a coach with the Celtics, that’s fine, but don’t start off his talent-list with Ron Mercer.
Brad Faxon has had a solid career as a golfer, and his candid appearances on D&C are much more entertaining and informative than athletes who give standard, run-of-the-mill answers afraid to offend anyone. Isn’t that what we should want from guests?
Where did Johnny Damon say he’d like to play for the Yankees? Answer: Nowhere because he didn’t say it. He only said the Yankees would be coming after him - that’s another big distinction that you somehow failed to point out.
And lastly, Steven A Smith is only “very good” at his job if his job description reads as follows: Convince viewers that you are an angry, raving lunatic incapable of getting any points acros without yelling.
And yes, that would still stand even if Smith was white.
I’m sure there are more points to argue that I may have missed, but I’ve got to go back to work.
wendell, that rundown was needed and could easily be extended, but it is hardly worth it. this guy is such a blatant hack, it is astounding that publications run this tripe. this guy is obviously some frustrated wanna-be globe bomb thrower. why can’t sports writers possess three-digit iq’s, some powers of articulation, and a modicum of sports knowledge?
So I’m a jealous type if I think Eddie’s show stinks? Fine. I salute Ryen for doing what every host from Brighton to Burlington would love to have done lo these many years. Why should I, as a baseball fan, care one iota whether the Sox limited partners are unhappy because they’re not making any money? When you go in with your eyes open and overpay for a franchise what do you expect? And that’s Theo’s fault? All he did was put together a team that won the World Series. Too bad, Eddie. Thank God you’re not involved in the Red Sox.
yeah eddie is a dinosaur, hating owners because pro sports franchises (all of them) have been bid up in value - making tickets more expensive. whether that is good, bad, or whether there is someone to blame (many blame rupert murdoch) is irrelevant. it is today’s reality.

ah, the idiot’s blitz is back.

Hey Asshole., Why call out Craig Mustard and not every other member of the media that called out Bonds for taking his kid to the press conference?

Lots to argue with here, so let’s get to it:

I wave my EEI pom poms everyday, however the Faxon spots are weak. 20 minutes of John Dennis drooling on himself
