Chris Snow is the best young writer in Boston? Have you read Mike Reiss?

I like Dickerson on radio but find him annoying on Fox Sports Net.

John, Dickerson annoys the hell out of me. Also, Reiss is excellent.

I assume Molori is controlling for home-team bias when he says Orsillo called a great opener, because Remy/Orsillo are the most “homer” announcers in baseball.
The availability of MLB extra innings out of market coverage makes this more evident, even Kay/Kaat/Singleton on YES are less biased than NESN’s dynamic duo.

Thank goodness Vin Scully is still broadcasting, and MLB xtra innings allows you to switch to the Dodgers and hear an actual baseball game being called.

Orsillo is one of the worst pxp guys in recent memory. Boring, brings nothing to the telecast. You can even tell that Remy doesn’t like him when they show the two on camera. Bring back McDonough … teamed with Remy, they were the best in Boston.

And I third the notion on Reiss. One of the best on the Patriots beat, a definite must read. Jury still out on Chris Snow.

Chris snow is by far the best young writer in Boston, and probably in America. Fearless, aggressive, talented. This kid’s going places.
