Not to nitpick, but Parker said the Patriots were the best dynasty. He didn’t say they were the best team.
Wilcotts statements were over the top. I wonder which quarterback out there today who he would consider as “great” because none of them are 9-0 in postseason or own three SB titles. He also said that it was Dillon who was the man who put the Pats offense over the top. Dillon had a great year but didn’t have great games in either the AFC Championship game or SB. Wilcotts also said that the Patriots dynasty and their success was a product of their defense. That’s just flat out wrong. The Patriots do have a very good defense. But it’s not dominating and has allowed an average of 25 points in the last two Super Bowls. As Parker pointed out, Brady had led the Pats to championnships with a running game and without one. At some point, even Wilcotts has to admit that Brady is outstanding.
Andleman: a rude, over-bearing windbag, Shaughnessy:an overly negative pessimist who is not only unfair, but often down-right mean
Borges: unable to admit when he’s wrong. That’s why nobody likes these guys. Andleman and Shaughnessy were donkeys when they were on WEEI, and that hasn’t changed since. (You’ll recall that Big Dan was a regular on The Big Show until the Globe decided they were too good for EEI.)
Andy Gresch: Hard working sure, but you can’t say much more for the guy. He’s okay when it comes to football, but other than that, he brings very little to the table and is not very enjoyable to listen to.
Andy Gresch falls into the category of hosts who try to hard to be “Edgy”. D&C fall into this during their morning show on WEEI. They both don’t seem to like sports, so they only bring up opinions everyone else has when they’re forcing an argument. Gresch tries to hard to be interesting and like too many others doesn’t really know that much about any sport besides football, where his knowledge is mediocre at best. Oh ya, he also has an incredibly annoying voice/personality.
Andy Gresch is the WORST personality on sports radio. He brings nothing to any conversation. He think he is a football genius. And when he tries to talk about his playing days, as if he was some great college player, it makes me want to puke! He played at URI, hardly the bastion of football greatness.
I love to list to WFAN and when it won’t come in I listen to WEEI. Both stations would be ill served to hire Gresch!!
