Boston media shows true colors as Pedro departs
First, the facts. The Boston Red Sox made a more than fair offer to Pedro Martinez in their efforts to keep him in Boston. The New York Mets made Martinez a better offer. Major League Baseball is a business and, in most cases, the better offer lands the player.
The story is actually quite simple, but for the past week, the utter ignorance and sheer hypocrisy of several media members has made it ugly.
